Heading out past Cobleskill on Route 7 enjoying a gorgeous Saturday in the month of April found this explorer at Richie Rich’s Place in Richmondville. Scouting for some summer stitching projects to use for a post on holiday porch hand work this treasure hunter did not come up empty handed! After spending a good hour exploring the many nooks and crannies of this locally owned shop two wonderful pieces were found for my post.

I found an adorable angel ornament from Suzanne McNeill’s 1984 collection to cross stitch. In this same batch was a fun latch hook kit featuring a Scottie dog decked out in a holiday sweater. Even though the package was opened on this kit it appears all the yarn and directions are there so summer project is a go! Adding these to a vintage Valtex Santa pillow panel that came in a box of craft books completes this holiday stitching project list.

Above I have posted a group shot of the holiday finds.  I found lots of other treasures there for future posts so check back again to see the latest photo shoot.

We never have enough time to complete all the projects we line up for any season but these treasures should make it easy. They were a blast from the past this treasure hunter could not resist! So much fun to see these older patterns and kits intact and ready to go for some summer porch stitching!

So get out there and explore Upstate NY…you never know what treasures are hiding on the back roads!!
